Claude Harmon, Jack Nicklaus, Seve, Payne & Field Signed 1986 Augusta National Print
'A Print Unlike Any Other!' The Golden Bear's putter-up win at 46-years old in the 1986 Masters was one for the ages, with this print from that tournament not one the industry will soon forget! Honorary Invitee and the toughest, most valuable Masters winner signature 1948's Claude Harmon's black sharpie "sit-down quality" scribe is found on the green of artist Katie Garner's fairway and without any signatures crossing it. Jack Nicklaus' also can be found cleanly on this limited edition print along with a full-name Seve Ballesteros (factored into that tournament) and two of the late Payne Stewart signatures including a very large one and both legible.
The comeback Nicklaus staged in the final round of 1986 was something no one expected, yet everyone dreamed of. His Masters Tournament performance that week put an exclamation mark on an already successful career for Jack Nicklaus and lead to some legendary photos. This piece's dating is reaffirmed when examining the additional contestants that signed this 321/1000 The Augusta National Golf Club print of the 16th hole in which artist Katie Garner signed in pencil below the image. Golfers such as Peter Persons only played The Masters Tournament in 1986.
Included on this print are the following signatures from contestants and honorary invitees (Claude Harmon) of The 1986 Masters Tournament: Tommy Aaron, Sandy Lyle, Gay Brewer, Seve Ballesteros, Billy Casper, Ben Crenshaw, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Fuzzy Zoeller, Claude Harmon, Bill Rogers, Hal Sutton, Scott Verplank, Chen Tze-Chung, Craig Stadler, Dan Forsman, Larry Nelson, Peter Persons (only year played was 1986), Andy Bean, Hale Irwin, Johnny Miller, Payne Stewart (x2), Buddy Gardner, Larry Mize, Don Pohl, Calvin Peete, Kenny Knox, Mark McCumber, Roger, Maltble, Denis Watson, Nick Price, David Graham, Gary Halberg, Peter Jacobsen, Michael Podolak, Bob Eastwood, Bob Murphy, Rick Fehr, John Mahaffey, Jay Sigel, Jim Thorpe, Jay Haas, Joey Sindler, Bruce Lietzke, Billy Kratzert, Scott Simpson, Chip Drury, Phil Blackmar, George Burns, Bob Lewis, Lenny Wadkins, Hubert Green, and Tony Sills.
