Circa 1915 Spalding Gold medal Hammer Brand Olympic Putter
Featuring a squared steel shaft and pronounced humpback head shape with a hand stamped dot pattern face, it is hard to mix this putter up with its contemporaries. The Spalding Olympic 'O' would receive a patent a year after first being offered in the Spalding product catalog - that patent going to Hamilton Winkworth Scott. Stamping on this example is strong, as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. For reference purposes, this highly desired club sold for $902 on 20 bids in our 2023 May Auction. 34"
