Circa 1910 James Braid Smooth Faced Mashie - with Information Packet

James Braid was a five-time Open Championship winner and author of several golf publications aimed at instruction. If World Golf Rankings existed during his time, Braid would likely have been atop the rankings during the first decade of the 20th century. Braid lived a life centered around golf, as a player, author, and golf course architect; he helped design over 200 golf courses, often being referred to as the inventor of the dogleg. This lot features another of his endeavors, clubmaking. This smooth faced mashie presents in good condition, please see photos.
