Contained in this offering is a Circa 1860 Map of Scotland "The Home of Golf" Framed Map Print. One of the few places in the world in which the game of golf flourished in 1860 was Scotland. Its links courses are distinct, challenging and most importantly use the terrain as a dictator of journey the golfer embarks on. St Andrews is far from the only course around in Scotland in 1860, as there was Muirfield, Royal Dornoch and a host of others. This piece represents as much of an educational tool into the early stages of golf and golf courses as a highly presentable attention grabber. The map is 17 3/4" x 21 3/4" and framed to 24" 1/2" x 29 1/2."
