Chip Beck's $500k Presentation Check for Scoring 59 at 1991 Las Vegas Inv. at Sunrise GC

During the third round of the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational at the Sunrise Golf Course, Chip Beck caught fire and shot a 13 under (all birdies)on the par-72 layout. He made the turn, after starting on the back nine, with a 7-under 29. He proceeded to shoot 6 under on the front. While he placed third in the tournament, joining the 59 club and a $500k large check were nice consolation prizes. Here is that BIG "59" check that Chip Beck was presented for his scorching-hot round that put him in the history books. Beck was the second of only 11 players to shoot a 59 on the PGA Tour, Jim Furyk with the only 58. It was long part of the World Golf Hall of Fame exhibition, and now part of their collection presented in this offering. There is very slight wear on the right edge of this oversize check. Please note that the final photo of Beck holding this exact check, made from caddy tournament signage (as seen on the verso), is for photo matching reference only.
