Charlie Sifford Signed 'Just Let Me Play' Book with Inscription - Ralph Hackett Collection
This signed book by author Charlie Sifford details his challenges as a minority in the game of golf. Charlie Sifford was to golf as Jackie Robinson was to baseball. He broke down many of the social barriers that were thrown at him as a professional golfer in the 1950's and early 60's. In part for this trail blazing work, Sifford was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. A signed letter of provenance from Ralph Hackett comes with this lot.
