Champion Phil Mickelson Signed 2005 PGA at Baltusrol Official Scorecard (Marker)
Carried, scored and eventually signed, 2005 PGA Championship winner Phil Mickelson became quite familiar with the official tournament scorecard proudly presented by The Golf Auction in this lot. One of the few examples of on-course personal ephemera from Phil Mickelson's victorious week at Baltusrol 16 years ago, this scorecard undoubtedly represents a unique opportunity for fans of the newly crowned PGA Champion, Baltusrol, PGA, scorecards and the list of fitting categories and emphasis. Only a year removed from finally gaining the title of major winner, 'Lefty' led or shared the lead wire to wire despite rainy conditions that forced the final round to be suspended until Monday. Mickelson birdied the final hole of the tournament after flopping a chip out of deep rough to win by one stroke over Steve Elkington and Thomas Bjørn. It was Phil's second of (now) 6 Major wins. Mickelson scored Adam Scott's August 11, 2005 first round in pencil in this auction lot. At 51 years old, Phil Mickelson is continuing to stay in the news, by way of winning major championships and participating in televised celebrity 'Challenge Matches.' Lefty's legacy will ultimately be one of the greatest showmen that captured a host of major championships and his first PGA Championship victory in 2005 is a part of his story. Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 9:00pm ET Sunday, July 18th. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval starting at 9pm ET. The clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm ET
4. All lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 9pm ET
**Once extended bidding starts at 9pm ET, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 9:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
