Champion Chi-Chi Rodriguez's 1987 United Hospitals Senior Championship 10k Gold Winner's Medal

World Golf Hall of Famer Chi Chi Rodriguez won for the 6th time on the Champions Tour on May 17th, 1987 at the United Hospitals Senior Championship at Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Remarkably, it would be Chi Chi's second win in three consecutive weekends. In Rodriguez's 1986 and 1987 campaigns he would rack up 10 wins - tour domination. Chi Chi's 8-under par performance gave the Puerto Rican a victory over Lee Elder by the slimmest of margins. Rodriguez was presented this PGA Senior Tour winner's 10k gold medal engraved with the tournament name, date and Chi Chi Rodriguez's name on the verso in very similar design to the PGA Tour winner's gold medals. Chi Chi would go on to win twenty-two times on the PGA Champions Tour. A signed letter of provenance comes with this lot. The Diameter Of This Item Is 1 1/2".
