Champ Yuka Saso Signed 2021 Women's US Open Championship Flown Hole #6 Flag
It was the first US Women's Open hosted by The Olympic Club of San Francisco, California, as well as the country of Philippines' first golf major victory when champion Yuka Saso gained her first USGA Championship - a tally that Saso would add to in 2024. A seldom seen hobby entry is this major championship used Hole #6 red and white flag flown during the 2021 US Women's Open. The thick cloth flag with embroidery and the sititched number is signed by Saso in the top left corner remains in very good condition, with very subtle signs of usage. All eyes were on the 'The City by the Bay' June 3-6. It took 75 holes to determine the winner, when Yuka Saso defeated Japan's Nasa Hataoka on the third playoff hole. Lexi Thompson also turned heads when as she would finish in third place after holding a five-stroke lead just before the back nine of the final round to finish a stroke out of the extra holes. The Lake Course had played home to five Men's US Open tournaments previously. Saso and Hataoka had finished 4-under par for the 3 round tournament
