Champ Jon Rahm Signed 2021 US Open Championship Flown Hole #5 Flag
Plant this flag at the pinnacle of collecting the category, and only there you will find major championship flown/tournament used flags signed by the winner. This red and white stitched, thick 'gamer' was used on Hole #5 at Torrey Pines for Jon Rahm's first major victory at the 2021 US Open. The then new father Jon Rahm finished Father's Day weekend as he had hoped for, with good karma presenting him with the chance for victory after leading the Memorial Tournament only two weeks prior by five strokes after three rounds prior to withdrawing. Rahm would add a Masters win in 2023 to his resume, now a multi-time major champion. The Spaniard routinely signs in red marker, representing his country, but inked the red flag in thee ideal silver marker here. The Par 4-452 yard 5th hole at Torrey Pines was a challenge, offering a narrow fairway with bunkers on either side and champion Rahm played it in +1 over the four rounds. There is a very slight, but welcomed signs of usage in the top of the '5' and left side of the flag containing the plastic tube insert used to mount it on the flagpole. The flag is a thick cloth material and has embroidered and stitched on '121st US Open Torrey Pines' with the '5' hole in the upper righthand corner. 'James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
