Byron Nelson Signed 'How I Played the Game' Golf Book


This lot features a signed copy for Byron Nelson's How I Play the Game signed and personalized in black ink as follows:
"Happy Days - Byron Nelson"

In 1945 Nelson had a record-breaking year, winning 18 of 35 PGA tournaments including 11 in a row, while also placing 2nd in another record 7 tournaments. During his relatively brief professional career(1935-1946), Byron Nelson had 54 career victories, including the 1939 U.S. Open, the 1937 and 1942 Masters, and the 1940 and 1945 PGA Championships. He received the 1994 Old Tom Morris Award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, GCSAA's highest honor. Nelson was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 2006.
