Bronze Mold of Gary Player's Hands By Artist Tico Torres
Exhibited in the British Golf Museum alongside many of the finest golf memorabilia in the world are Tico Torres' bronze cast hands of major champions, a collection of 10 studies including Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player as offered here. Artist Tico Torres has said of the collection: “I wanted to honor the golfers who had won Majors...It gives future generations a permanent record of these great grips from history...and hopefully they are very beautiful too.” Tico Torres is perhaps better known as the lead drummer since 1983 in the Rock Hall of Fame musical group Bon Jovi. Torres passions culminate in these hands detailing the grip of The Black Knight, golf and fine art sculpting. Interlocking grip, with each of the hundreds of subtle hand wrinkles forming the astonishingly lifelike hands of the 9-time major champion and career grand slam club member since 1965 - Gary Player. As Torres did with each of these extremely limited pieces, he signed his name on the flat of the right hand along with the #5 of the low run deluxe and heavy bronze casting. Finishing the three dimensional rendering is a grip on the end of a shaft, resulting in a stunning composition that demands inclusion in the finest golf sculpture collections. A signed letter from the family comes with this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, May 22nd. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm EDT
**Once extended bidding starts at 10pm EDT, each lot will then begin closing with its own 30-minute countdown timer. Lots without a bid during extended bidding will close at 10:30pm ET. We recommend you place your maximum bid(s) prior to that time. Thank you**
