Bobby Jones & Johnny Goodman Original 1933 US Amateur Wire Photo
Bobby Jones was a spectator in the gallery in 1933 when Johnny Goodman the Omaha amateur, set a new record over the North Shore Country Club course at the US Open in Glenview II. Two months later, when Goodman showed up to the US Amateur he was the talk of the town, an amateur winning the professional tournament three years after Jones did the same thing. It hasn't been done since. Jones and Goodman are shot in this I7" x 9" oversize posed photo at the US Amateur on September 12, 1933. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report, with some media edits and welcomed verso stamping of the subjects, date and outlet usage.
