Bob Ford's Wilson Invex Bi Metal Driver signed by John Daly

Offered here is a wonderful game used Wilson Invex Bi Metal Driver from the Bob Ford Collection. The legendary Bob Ford (more below), is the former head golf professional at Oakmont Country Club and Seminole Golf Club, and the current “Voice” (starter) for the USGA at the U.S. Open. 44”

Bob Ford secured John Daly’s autograph on this driver. This driver was personally used by Bob. This club exhibits great use and would be a significant pick-up for any serious golf collector who appreciates quality material. This club saw action at Oakmont C.C., and other great venues. Don’t miss this opportunity. James Spence Authenticated has reviewed this signature and a JSA ALOA will accompany this lot.

BOB FORD COLLECTION

Widely known as a tremendous golfer and “classy gentlemen,” Mr. Ford became the Head Golf Professional at Oakmont Country Club in 1979, succeeding legendary 1947 U.S. Open Champion Lew Worsham. Bob remained at Oakmont until his retirement in 2016. Bob Ford also served as Head Golf Professional at the nationally acclaimed Seminole Golf Club from 2000-2021. He appeared in 10 PGA Championships, 3 U.S. Opens and 3 U.S. Senior Opens. He won 3 Pennsylvania Opens and was named to the PGA Professionals Golf Hall of Fame in 2005. In 2017, Bob Ford won the distinguished Bob Jones Award - the highest honor the USGA can bestow on any person in recognition of distinguished sportsmanship in Golf joining Francis Ouimet, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and a select few since 1955 to receive this cherished award. Bob’s greatest legacy might well be that he has personally mentored over 50 Head Golf Professionals under his tutelage at Oakmont & Seminole! His legacy is untarnished in every regard and he is the consummate “gentleman” in every respect.

Bob has asked us to send a significant portion of the proceeds of his items to The Golf Heritage Society (www.golfheritage.org) to further their mission of promoting the history, collections and traditions of the game of golf - join the GHS today for just $50 a year and receive 4 beautiful quarterly magazines promoting friendship among golf enthusiasts worldwide through the game’s artifacts, memorabilia, historical articles and shows.
