Ben Hogan Signed 1 Iron Shot at The 1950 US Open at Merion Poster

A gentleman by the name of Hy Peskin of LIFE magazine took this historic photo of Ben at the 18th hole of the 1950 US Open at Merion, one that possibly rivaled Hogan's golf shot itself in greatness. Under the improbable circumstances of the pressure of the moment and the club selection. Hogan pulled it off and won the 1950 US Open. Captured by photographer Peskin at just the right moment, this image is one of the most well-known ones in all of golf. Finding Ben Hogan signed oversize photographs proves difficult, making the most famous image in golf with Bantam Ben's unimprovable black sharpie penmanship just to the left of his likeness a marquee item. Poster's bottom margin has been cleanly removed as shown and not affecting the image which is seldom seen signed by Mr. Hogan, especially with this quality of a signature. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot. 25" x 16"
