Ben Hogan Signed 1951 GOLFing Magazine - April

Nothing short of perfection would describe Ben Hogan's robust black sharpie signature that graces the front of this full 1951 GOLFing magazine depicting The Hawk mid-swing escaping from a greenside bunker. The landscape oriented mag was issued the same month in which Ben Hogan would win his first Masters Tournament - April of 1951. This event would add a tradition to the collective 'Tradition Unlike Any Other' in the Masters Club Dinner or more commonly and casually referred to as the Masters Champs Dinner. This magazine exhibiting both a feat of photography and penmanship by the heralded cover subject remains in good condition, as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
