Ben Hogan Ltd Ed Bronze Colonial CC Sculpture #79/200 w/Note of Signed Appreciation & Authenticity
When visiting the historic Colonial Country Club patrons and members look up to a larger than life statue of a man that often times was larger than life himself, Ben Hogan. This sculpture is hand numbered 79 out of 200 and was given out to those that contributed funds to erect the original "heroic-size" bronze statue. A majority of these statues were given to Colonial Country Club members, making the statue very difficult to obtain for anyone that didn't have a connection to the club in 1995. Accompanying this statue is the original note thanking the donor with a picture of Hogan with one of the sculptures and a Ben Hogan plaque dedication ceremony invitation. This scultpure stands 15" tall, 8 " wide and weighs 13.5 pounds diameter on a rotating base. Regarding the original 7ft tall Ben Hogan statue, Colonial CC President Harold Muckleroy, Jr. has this to say about the well known respected artist and sculptor Paul Tadlock "The heroic-size statue (7') of Ben Hogan, which overlooks our 18th green, has made the finishing touch of our clubhouse remodel project a great success. This action pose of Hogan has a dramatic effect on golfers as they finish play, as well as visitors and members who view this great work of art on the Plaza deck. Your genuine interest in this project was obvious from day one, and the good working relationship we had during the entire project has been greatly appreciated. A project of this magnitude usually has bumps along the way, but I must say the entire process could not have been more pleasant. We thank you for your outstanding work.”
