Arnold Palmer's 2004 Masters Tournament Contestant Badge #72 - Final Masters - Wow!

The larger-than-life Arnold Palmer was synonymous with Augusta National's Masters, a tournament-player partnership that without a question went both ways. Proudly presented in this offering is Arnold Palmer's 2004 Masters Contestant Badge with his assigned number of #72 in the top right corner in vibrant red, already the highest form of tournament credentials. This Wincraft Co. circular badge is of great significance, as it was issued to Palmer for his FINAL rounds of Masters competition that first week in April.

Acquiring the seemingly elusive and unavailable personal items from Arnold Palmer over the years is something even the savviest of collectors haven't had much luck with, as Arnie's collection is well documented and exhibited in a sizable memorabilia warehouse in his home city of Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The General of Arnie's Army was commonly referred to as "The King," was often seated on his throne at the Masters Tournament winning in 1958, 1960, 1962, and 1964. Seven-time Major winner, Palmer, captivated audiences with his play and personality in the 1960's and helped make golf a mainstream sport for everyone to enjoy. He is sorely missed, but his contributions to the game will never be forgotten. This royal blue and gold colored Masters Contestant badge will have some scrambling for their 2004 Masters pairing sheet in confirmation that #72 was Palmer (Friday pairing sheet photo added for reference purposes only), and even more wanting to add this museum quality gem to their advanced collection as the centerpiece.
