Arnold Palmer & Doug Sanders Signed 1968 Masters Saturday Pairing Sheet
Arnold Palmer missed the cut for the first time at Augusta National Golf Club during Masters competition, graciously signing this pairing sheet in the parking lot for a spectator and our consignor that happened to catch him that day. What should have been a frustrated and less than affable Arnold Palmer, our consignor remembers Palmer taking it on the chin and even making the observation "It's a nice day for some golf" with a wry grin. That's the kind of guy the four-time champ was, Doug Sanders joining him in penmanship here. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
