Antique Jack Hutchison Monel Metal Mid Iron by Burke Golf Company
In excellent condition is this mid iron was manufactured by the Burke Golf Company of Newark, Ohio, and features an endorsement signature from professional golfer Jock Hutchison. The club head is constructed of Monel metal, a rust-resistant nickel-copper alloy, and features a traditional blade style. The back of the club head is stamped with several marks including the word SPECIAL in block letters, a Jack Hutchison signature script, and the Burke manufacturer name in stylized script. It also bears a triangular logo for INCO Monel Metal and a circular stamp containing the letter L. The club face is finished with a textured grid pattern of horizontal dash marks. The head is fitted to a turned hickory wood shaft with a natural finish. The handle is finished with a period-appropriate wrapped black leather grip featuring cord whipping at the base.
