Andy North Signed Cherry Hills Embroidered Course Flag with '1978 US Open'
The aesthetically appealing red and white checkered course flag from Cherry Hills is signed by its 1978 major champion Andy North in this lot. With par at Cherry Hills outside Denver, Colorado established at 71 for the 1978 United States Open, Andy North would lose to that score by a mere one shot at 285 for the four rounds. The nice thing for North the rest of the field was no better off than two over, and Andy had his first of two U.S. Open titles (1985). The Cherry Hills 1978 U.S. Open logo checkered course flag is offered and highlighted with a black sharpie signature from its champion, Andy North. James Spence Authentication (JSA) letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
