Al Geiberger Shoots First 59! - 1977 Danny Thomas Memphis Classic Caddy Badge #175
The first gofer to shoot a round of 59 in a PGA Tour tournament was Al Geiberger, in the 2nd round of the 1977 Danny Thomas Memphis Classic at Colonial Country Club. Known since as Mr. 59, he had 11 birdies and an eagle on the par-72 course. These remain difficult to come by, this being a caddy bade from that historic tournament #175 and remaining in good, off-white condition with bright green print.
