Actual Scoreboard/Leaderboard from Tiger Woods 2000 PGA Championship Major Win at Valhalla - Framed
This 16" x 13" framed offering with two actual pieces from the mammoth clubhouse scoreboard/leaderboard at the 2000 PGA Championship is a relic whose prominent position in the game has been replaced by new technology of the electronic scoreboard. It features the calligraphy work of Marianne Rusche, who in this time period was employed by the PGA to compile these time consuming works at 15 tournaments across the country. The board would feature hole-by-hole scores of each player as they progressed through the championship. The highlight of this board is the champions nameplate. In this case, the best possible scenario in that time frame came through with Tiger Woods in the middle of his Tiger Grand Slam (wins @ 2000 U.S. Open, 2000 British Open, 2000 PGA and 2001 Masters) winning. Rusche removed the prized nameplate of Tiger (who was defending his 1999 PGA Championship win) and PGA logo with event designation, as any artist would do she signed her artwork. These pieces come in original state down to the hole marks they contain in corners from mounting on scoreboard. Offered for the first time to the golf collecting world is this one-of-a-kind treasure from the middle of the Tiger Slam. A run of superior Championship golf that will be long remembered in the annuals of the sport.
