A Pair of 1951 Masters Tournament Pairing Sheets Friday and Sunday Final Round
This lot comprises two original paper pairing sheets from the 1951 Masters Tournament held at Augusta National Golf Club. One sheet is dated Friday, April 6, 1951, for the second round, and the other is dated Sunday, April 8, 1951, for the final round. The front of each document displays Pairings and Starting Time with columns for starting times, caddy numbers, and 18-hole scores for Friday, or round-by-round and 54-hole totals for Sunday. Notable players listed include Ben Hogan, the eventual 1951 champion, as well as Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Gene Sarazen, Jimmy Demaret, Lloyd Mangrum, and Cary Middlecoff. Both sheets feature the instruction WEAR YOUR TICKET PLEASE, WHERE IT CAN BE SEEN! printed in red at the top and bottom. The reverse side of each document contains a detailed green and black illustrated map of the Augusta National Golf Club Course. The map identifies specific holes by name, including Firethorn, Azalea, and Golden Bell, and includes a table listing par and maximum distances for the course. Additional text on the reverse includes A SPECIAL REQUEST regarding course cleanliness and spectator SUGGESTIONS for etiquette, famously stating that Golf is a gentleman's game.

Extended bidding starts at 10pm ET, and all lots will begin closing with their own separate 30-minute countdown clock. Each lot will get its own 30 minute clock, which will extend by 30 minutes any time that lot receives a bid during extended bidding.
