A Group of Vintage Lawn Care Collectibles Including a Dinky Supertoys No. 751 Lawn Mower
A collection of vintage lawn care items and related memorabilia. The group includes a Marvelgreen New 4 Way grass seed tin produced by the Pedigreed Seed Company of Jersey City, New Jersey, featuring a 1955 copyright date. The tin is lithographed with green and yellow graphics and includes detailed instructions for sowing and maintenance. Also included are two vintage Scotts brand cardboard boxes: one for Shady Area grass seed blend with a 1974 test date, and another for Starter Fertilizer dated 1987, marked Not For Separate Sale. Completing the group is a Dinky Supertoys No. 751 die-cast lawn mower with its original detachable grass catcher. Manufactured in England by Meccano Ltd., the mower is finished in green with red blades and gray rollers. It is accompanied by its original blue and orange cardboard box, which contains the original green tissue paper packing.
