A set of twelve vintage golf balls manufactured by Golf Ball Inc. of Chicago Illinois affiliated with American professional golfer Frank Beard. The collection is presented in its original illustrated cardboard box labeled as Stroke Rated 85 Professional Golf Balls designed for players with an average score of 8599. The lid features midcentury graphic design elements including a portrait of Frank Beard in a green shirt. According to the packaging these balls are constructed with 528 feet of live rubber tension windings and a 1 14 inch liquid center. Each ball is individually sealed in its original cellophane wrapper. Visible markings on the balls include Frank Beard Professional and numeric ratings of either 85 or 100 in black text accompanied by red play numbers 2 3 or 4. The box is marked GBI GOLF BALL INC. CHICAGO ILL. and MADE IN U.S.A.
