A Collection of U.S. Open Golf Memorabilia Featuring 1982 Commemorative Book and 2010 Full Ticket Set
This lot consists of an assortment of commemorative items from the U.S. Open Championships held at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
The first item is a landscape-format volume titled The 1982 U.S. Open Book: 82nd U.S. Open Championship of the United States Golf Association. This is a Limited Edition publication by the Pebble Beach Foundation. The cover features a watercolor collage by illustrator Terry Baker depicting past champions including Ben Hogan, Julius Boros, Billy Casper, Jr., Arnold Palmer, Gene Littler, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Johnny Miller, Hale Irwin, Lou Graham, and Hubert Green. The interior contains photographs and original watercolor drawings showcasing Pebble Beach and other California golf courses. Credits include Art Director Pamela Musgrave and Musgrave & Friends Advertising Design.
The collection also includes a full set of grounds admission tickets and an official program voucher for the 2010 U.S. Open Championship at Pebble Beach. The set comprises eight tickets covering the entire week: three practice round tickets (Monday, June 14 to Wednesday, June 16), four championship round tickets (Thursday, June 17 to Sunday, June 20), and a playoff ticket dated Monday, June 21. Each ticket features a different high-quality color photograph of a specific hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links and retains its original white hanging cord. The lot is completed by one official program voucher with a stated ten dollar value valid for the same event period. Barcodes and serial numbers are present at the bottom of each ticket and the voucher.
