A Collection of Four 1977-1979 Sportscaster Golf Trading Cards Including BGS Graded Bobby Jones and Sam Snead
A collection of four vintage golf-themed trading cards from the 1977-1979 Sportscaster multi-sport subscription set. This lot features two cards professionally graded by Beckett Grading Services (BGS) and two raw cards. Issued by Edito-Service S.A., Geneva, and Editions Rencontre S.A., Lausanne, these oversized cards were printed in Italy and distributed as part of a subscription series. Each card features a large-format photograph on the front with detailed biographical and career information on the reverse.
The collection includes:
1977-79 Sportscaster Series 41 The Grand Slam (Bobby Jones) card number 4101. Features a sepia-toned image of Bobby Jones with four major championship trophies. Graded BGS 8.5 (NM-MT+), Serial Number 0009658324.
1977-79 Sportscaster Series 22 Sam Snead card number 2201. Depicts Sam Snead in a color photograph. Graded BGS 9 (MINT), Serial Number 0009658330.
Two identical 1978 Sportscaster Series 18 Lee Trevino cards, card number 03 005 18-22. Both cards feature an action color photograph of Trevino on the green.
