A Collection of Five Golf Tournament Bag Tags and a 1985 PGA Championship Professional Badge
This collection consists of five golf-related memorabilia items, including tournament bag tags and a credential badge. The lot includes a metal and enamel shield-shaped bag tag from the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, featuring the Ryder Cup trophy flanked by the United States and European flags, attached by a brown leather strap with a brass-tone buckle. A second metal and enamel tag commemorates the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village, featuring a trophy within a green laurel wreath on a white ground; this tag is housed in its original black presentation box from A Accessories. Both metal tags bear a circular maker's mark on the reverse consisting of a stylized letter A. The collection also contains two identical rectangular plastic bag tags commemorating the 100th anniversary (1907-2007) of Pinehurst No. 2, featuring a landscape photograph of the course and the Pinehurst caddy logo. The final item is a plastic tournament credential badge for the 1985 PGA Championship held at Cherry Hills in Englewood, Colorado. The badge is issued to Warren Smith, PGA Golf Professional, and lists the tournament dates as August 8-11. The reverse of this badge is marked for the manufacturer Miller Golf of Randolph, Massachusetts.
