2001 Tiger Woods Upper Deck Tiger Slam Employee Only Bay Hill Inv Worn Red & Black Shirt Card 149/325 PSA GEM MT 10!
Distributed to Upper Deck employees only in celebration and in the same year of his historic 'Tiger Slam' is this Gem Mint 10 tournament-used red shirt swatch card. The first six of these printed were given to Tiger Woods himself. The swatch is specifically from his 2001 Bay Hill Invitational win, procured and imbedded in this limited edition /281 card as notated on the verso Congratulations message. The 2001 card was during his Upper Deck rookie card season, the first year of printing cards shortly after partnering with Woods. Instantly it was one of the most sought after Tiger Woods cards, backed up by Beckett Golf magazine value guide's four-figure assessment that has just continued to climb. Early 2000's serial numbered shirt cards are some of the toughest modern cards to gem, precisely what this did. The featured "4" is the die-cut patch outline signifying the modern major tournaments in a row in which Woods conquered, something no one had ever done before or since. To have a Tiger Woods worn shirt swatch from a specific tournament included in this card is incredible, much less a red & Black striped one from a win. What do you think Tiger? "I think if you can put all four trophies on your coffee table, you can make a pretty good case for it," Woods was quoted as saying upon completion of his 'Tiger Slam' in response to if it was a Grand Slam or not.
