2000 Bell Canadian Open Contestant Souvenir Inukshuk Trophy - Tiger Woods Win
Produced by R. Ellsworth, as indicated by the tied on tag with Inukshuk detailed describing the background of the Inuit sculpture produced here and presented to individuals at the 2000 Bell Canadian Open. It was a handmade sculpture put together piece by piece with no mold or set design. For 22 years the Canadian Open winner would take home a trophy that was more a work of art, an Inuit carving that was deeply meaningful - a practice stopping in 1993 but certainly not forgotten then.
“That one shot I hit at Canada was pretty good, but you know what? I keep telling everybody I didn’t hit the green,” he said. “I hit it over the green. So it wasn’t really that good.” Tiger recounts. Tiger's greatest moments are not complete without the bunker shot that he hit at the 2000 Canadian Open on the final hole to clinch the victory. It would be over water with a 6-iron from 218 yards away that would seal it. Here is a tough ticket from that final round win and bunker shot as the darkness crept in. This is a rare opportunity for the dated contestant gift from that memorable Tiger Woods win, capturing the national title just north of the border.
