1969 Jack Nicklaus Columbus Invitational Pro-Am Championship at Home Course Scioto Promotional Poster

Here is a 1969 promotional poster for the Columbus Invitational Pro-Am Golf Championship held at the Scioto Country Club featuring their hometown hero on his home course of Scioto. A record crowd of 12000 would see the 29 year old shoot a one under par 70 at the $20000 purse tournament. There were 54 pros in the 204 man field. Nicklaus’ score was bested by Fred Marti and Dick Lutz who would card record tying 65's. The poster features a black-and-white portrait photograph of a young Jack Nicklaus in support of the Pro-Am benefiting Children's Hospital and Dispatch Charities in Ohio. Ticket pricing and tax-exempt donation breakdowns are also listed.
