1968 Special Golf Match Ticket Palmer and Nicklaus vs Nelson and McSpaden
This item is a vintage gallery admission ticket for a special exhibition golf match held on Monday, August 12, 1968. The event took place at Dub's Dread Golf Club in Kansas City, Kansas, featuring a high-profile matchup between the era's superstars Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus and the legendary 1940s duo Byron Nelson and Harold Jug McSpaden.The ticket still has its original knotted string tie. The front of the tag displays the event title, participant names, date, and the original $5.00 admission price. It also notes draw prizes for clubs autographed by Palmer, Nicklaus, and Nelson. Center crease is evident on this ticket which exists as one of the few examples of this match almost sixty years after the last shot was contested.
