1966 PGA Championship at Firestone CC Official Program - Al Geiberger Winner
The Professional Golfers Association of America's tournament was held at Firestone Country Club in 1966 because the original site at Columbine C.C. sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Mr. 59 Al Geiberger's only Major championship. There is also a solemn memory that accompanies this championship. A few hours after competing in the tournament, Tony Lema along with his wife and two pilots perished as they attempted an emergency landing en route to Illinois. This program sold that week over 50 years ago is in fair to good condition, with usage and aging apparent throughout.
