1965 Ryder Cup Draw Sheet, 1971 Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic Program & Two Golf Magazines

This collection of historical golf ephemera consists of four items including tournament programs and periodicals. The earliest piece is a daily draw sheet from the 16th Ryder Cup Matches held at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, Lancashire, dated October 7-9, 1965. The document lists the full rosters for Great Britain and the United States of America. The lot also includes the March 10, 1975, issue of Sports Illustrated magazine with Lee Elder on the cover, titled “A Date With The Masters,” marking his historic qualification as the first African American golfer for the tournament. Also present is the official program for the 1977 Jackie Gleason Inverrary Classic held in Lauderhill, Florida, featuring an illustration of Gleason and inset portraits of past champions including Lee Trevino and Tom Weiskopf. The final item is an August 1988 issue of PGA Magazine featuring a scenic cover and a mailing label addressed to the Ben Hogan Company in Fort Worth, Texas.
