1965 Masters Tournament Badge - #21275

The 1965 Masters Tournament was the 29th Masters Tournament, and it witnessed Jack Nicklaus win the second of his six Masters titles with a score of 271 (-17), at the time a tournament record. Nicklaus' winning margin of nine strokes stood until 1997, when Woods was victorious by twelve strokes to win his first green jacket. The "Big Three" (Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player) were tied after 36 holes at 138 (-6), but Nicklaus shot a 64 (-8) on Saturday to post a 202 (-14), a gain of five shots on Player and eight on Palmer. Nicklaus' round tied the course record set by Lloyd Mangrum in 1940. Badge #21275 is free from cracks with original pin back in place, and slight adhesive/tape remnants on front side bottom where word 'badge' is. This is mentioned only for accuracy, and should clean with a little effort should the winning bidder wish.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, March 6th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
