1956 U.S. Open Championship at Oak Hill Country Club Official Scorecard - Middlecoff Win
This is an original, unused official scorecard from the 56th Open Championship of the United States Golf Association (USGA), held at the East Course of Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, on June 14, 15, and 16, 1956. The interior contains the complete routing for the East Course, listing a total yardage of 6,902 and a par of 70, with space provided for hole-by-hole scoring and signatures for both the competitor and the scorer. The 1956 U.S. Open was the first of several U.S. Opens hosted by the East Course at Oak Hill. The tournament concluded with Cary Middlecoff winning his second U.S. Open title, finishing one stroke ahead of Ben Hogan and Julius Boros.
