1956 Masters Tournament SERIES Badge #5063 - Jack Burke Winner

The 20th playing of The Masters Tournament saw Jack Burke, Jr. win his first Major Championship on the largest stage in golf - only months before he would claim his second! The Champions Club co-founder and Texas native passed red-hot amateur Ken Venturi after sizzling back from a record 8 shots back in the last tournament not to have a 36-hole cut. A deal with CBS was in place, allowing 1956 to be the first Masters Tournament that was able to be viewed on the television. We sadly lost Jack Burke Jr. earlier this year at the age of 100-years-old. Burke was one of the superb gentlemen in the game of golf and was active at the Champions Club in Texas well-past his 90th birthday.
This vibrant red SERIES ticket #5063 is in very good condition nearly 70 years after its Augusta National issuance for the weekly admittance. This example is one of the finest you will see, likely an improvement from your current example if you are lucky enough to hold one.
