1955 Miami Beach 40th Anniversary Golf Tournament Program
The tournament that began on the PGA Tour in the 1920's was picked back up in 1950 and would celebrate its namesake Miami Beach's 40th anniversary with the tournament's sixth playing in 1955 with this program with bright sun graphics on cover. The tournament that Marco Island's own Gene Sarazen won three-consecutive times from 1927 through 1929 would be played at Bayshore for its final three years starting in 1955. '55 crowned three-time PGA Tour winner Eric Monti from Perkin, Illinois. This program from that tournament remains in good to very good condition with very slight overall wear depicted in the accompanying lot photos, with an image of the PGA Writers Association Honor Award dedicated in memory of Harry Vardon going to the player with the best average and won by Ben Hogan among many others.
