1951 US Amateur at Saucon Valley CC Championship Program w/ Flyer
This lot consists of two pieces of vintage golf ephemera related to the 51st Amateur Championship of the United States Golf Association, held at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, from September 10 to 15, 1951.
The first item is the official tournament program. The front cover displays a color aerial photograph of the golf course and clubhouse. The second item is a single-sheet green paper flyer insert titled Informal Canadian-American Amateur Golf Match, dated September 7, 1951. This insert describes a preliminary team match between amateur golfers representing the Royal Canadian Golf Association and the USGA at Saucon Valley Country Club, outlining the schedule of play for foursomes and singles and explaining the scoring format.
