1951 Ryder Cup Sunday Ticket #13919 - Pinehurst Country Club
Pinehurst #2 was the site of the 9th contested Ryder Cup. The Sam Snead captained United States team won their fifth consecutive competition by a score of 9½ to 2½ points. Even though Ben Hogan later won 3 majors in 1953, the 1951 Ryder Cup was his last as a competitor. An interesting note: the two day event was played on Friday and Sunday, Saturday was an off day so participants and spectators could attend a nearby college football game. Top ranked Tennessee beat North Carolina 27-0 in case you wanted to know. This ticket is in excellent condition.
