1950 Masters Tournament Betting Sheet
Long before a phone application and 25 years prior to Las Vegas receiving their first sportsbook, this was the original betting sheet for the 1950 Masters Tournament that contained each of the contestants and their odds to win it. Win, show and place just like horse racing (1st, 2nd and 3rd) are listed here. It looks like this was possibly for members at the Colonial Club in Texas. Demaret, the eventual winner, was the fifth most likely to win after Sam Snead, Cary Middlecoff, the mighty Ben Hogan, and Ryder Cupper Johnny Palmer. Time-period blue paper offers a unique view of the 1950 Masters Tournament before the final putt was rolled in.
