1949 Masters Tournament Sunday Final Rd Pairing Sheet - Sam Snead Winner
The patron that originally held this 1949 Masters Sunday pairing sheet was unaware that Sam Snead was about to match his Saturday round of 67 to go on to win his first Masters Tournament that day. The Slammer was five strokes behind the leader entering the weekend rounds until posting back-to-back rounds of 67 to go on to win the tournament by three strokes over Lloyd Mangrum and Johnny Bulla. This was Snead's first triumph at Augusta National Golf Club, but wouldn't be his last. He would later win the Masters in 1952 and 1954 for three of his seven career major championships. This 1949 Masters Sunday pairing sheet is in good condition with the expected compact fold lines present. There is discoloration present on the sheet, indicative of the age.
