1948 PGA Championship at Norwood Hills CC Series Badge - Ben Hogan's 2nd Major Win!
Here lies a prized ducat that allowed a very fortunate individual entry and clubhouse privileges to Norwood Hills Country Club in St Louis, Missouri through the tournament's entirety from May 16th until the 25th, to witness Hogan's second major victory. Bantam Ben Hogan captured the 1948 PGA Championship with am exclamation point, rolling Turnesa brother Mike 7 & 6 in the finals. In turn, fan-favorite Ben Hogan became the first to win both the U.S. Open and the PGA in the same year since Gene Sarazen in 1922. For the PGA week, Hogan was a scorching 35-under par for the 213 holes he played and very deserving of the Wanamaker. Bearing strong royal print above and below the yellow tournament logo on the front side of this individually numbered 4421 "Season Ticket." It is in good condition, with slight detractors being a clean horizontal compact line and expected light surface wear. Tickets from notable events represent one of the most sought after categories in the sports memorabilia industry, with this ticket from Ben Hogan's 2nd major certainly qualifying as such.
