One-page typed signed letter from golf legend Bobby Jones to World War II hero Colonel James C. McGehee. In the body of the letter, Jones references the golf game that he and the Colonel had played at Gavea CC in Rio de Janeiro. He goes on to talk about the billing for golf clubs that he was able to obtain at a wholesale price for the Colonel. The letter (8 3/8 by 10 7/8 inches) is crafted on Jones legal letterhead "JONES, WILLIAMS & DORSEY COUNSELORS AT LAW ATLANTA, GA". In light of his personal relationship with the Colonel who he addresses as "Doc", Bobby has penned his signature simply as "Bob". The letter displays two horizontal mailing folds, two punch holes at top and staple/paper clip impressions along the top. A letter of authenticity from J.S.A. will accompany this item as authenticity for the Bobby Jones signature.
