1947 The Latrobean High School Yearbook - Arnold Palmer Senior Year
This is the first time The Golf Auction has offered the 1947 Latrobean. We have had yearbooks from Palmer’s other high school years but not this one. It is full of Palmer references and photos including the following: p 49, capsule of Arnold Daniel Palmer’s high school activities including recognition as Pennsylvania State Golf Champ; p 49 senior picture head shot photo; p 50- 51 two page caption spread referring to Palmer : “ One of our linksmen gained top honor as Pennsylvania State Golf Champ and ranks as number two junior golfer of the nation,”; p 95 article on Palmer’s golf accomplishments and large photo of Palmer addressing the ball.
Interestingly one of the little known facts mentioned in this book is that Arnie appeared in the Latrobe High school production of The Merchant of Venice.
This book is in overall excellent condition.
