1947 Babe Ruth Smoking Cigar Original Wire Photo
Just a year prior to his passing, Babe Ruth is captured here in this original wire photos enjoying a cigar after signing on as a consultant with Ford Motor Company for their work with the American Legion Junior Baseball program. The clear black and white shot shows a wide range of value and depicts the aging Sultan of Swat in formal attire looking directly at the photographer. It was used by the media, with edits framing his head as depicted, the photograph in very good condition overall with corresponding caption on the verso.
