1941 Henry Hurst Invitational Series Ticket #1218 - Sam Snead Win
Just a single playing of the Henry Hurst Invitational took place on the PGA Tour in 1941 crowning Sam Snead with his 26th win on tour, just as WWII uprooted the golf landscape canceling the next year's scheduled event and never picking it back up. A gallery member at the Torresdale-Frankford Country Club in the City of Brotherly Love saved this ticket #1218 used for the entirety of the tournament (SERIES) that contains its original string. There is creasing across the ticket, however the robust black print on vibrant red paper allows it to show well. 'Invest in Golf' advertisement is found on the verso, that same message that was on multiple Masters Tournament tickets from this time.
