1940's-1950's Golf Stars Signed Wood Board/Tray - Horton, Guldahl, Picard, Hogan & others
Horton Smith, Ralph Guldahl, Henry Picard, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen, Byron Nelson, Lawson Little, Paul Runyan, Johnny Bulla, Toney Penna, Tony Manero and more of the golfing who's who from the 1940's and 1950's signed this wooden tray. With limited writing instruments and during a time in which obtaining golf signatures was an enjoyable meet and greet scavenger hunt, ballpoint pen was used to sign this tray. Each name being lightly carved into this tray, leaving ink in the shallow reservoir left by the pen tip. This unique item to be signed carries penmanship from well over 50 of the leading golfers, including late Masters Champions that are difficult to obtain such as Horton Smith, Ralph Guldahl and Henry Picard. This tray is a one-of-a-kind piece, with very little if any cross-over of the signatures. Many including Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen and Ralph Guldahl feature early signature formations from the golfers. 15" x 10." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, November 15th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you**
