The 1938 PGA Contestants badge is an attractive gold and green enameled pin which is 1"in diameter. The only flaw to this beauty is light loss to the gold color in the wording "Professional" at top of badge. In the 1930's the PGA Championship was decided by match play. In 1939 the event was almost over before it got started with Paul Runyan defeating Sam Snead by the most lopsided margin in PGA final history, 8 and 7.
